I moved here a year ago and started an art class where I live just to give residents a way to get out of their apartments. Several people who never painted previously are now hooked. I paint with them.

I’m an 81 year old woman originally from Brooklyn, NY. I taught in high schools all over the city for many years. I have one daughter who was talented in art from an early age. I began using her paints and brushes as a hobby.
Living in NY for 53 years, I spent a lot of time in the museums and took Art History classes whenever I could. I’ve been coming to MOCA for many years because my daughter lives here. I started volunteering at the desk when I permanently moved here a year ago.
