Novato, CA
My primary focus in recent years is the land and waterscapes of Northern California and Oregon. They are mixed media paintings with an emphasis of acrylic and overlays of pastel or water-soluble oil. I am interested in the lakes, rivers, ocean and rolling hills of this magnificent place called home. Everywhere I look, there is a sight to ponder and paint. Included in the surfaces of some of the artworks are writings which express my personal feelings at the time. Some collectors have indicated that they like my soothing, soulful and contemplative renderings of Northern California. Monoprints of dogs in their environment and floral paintings are other strong interests of mine.
I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dominican University in San Rafael. I have been a resident and artist in Marin County for over forty years. My studio-gallery is located at the Novato Arts Center at Hamilton, Museum of Contemporary Art in Novato, California. The studio address is 500 Palm Drive, #106, Novato, CA 94949.
