Jenny Keys Lawler

Corte Madera, CA

In my artwork I use found papers, objects and discard. It is mainly abstract. My work is about the unknown, and never totally planned, but laid out as a feeling as I develop my piece of work. Sometimes I incorporate whimsy, or real life images as well as found objects and always enjoy the use of color and texture.

I grew up in Ridgewood, New Jersey and spent my summers on Long Beach Island collecting shells, discarded plastics, metals, and sea glass. Later on I moved to Southern California and continued creating and painting, I lived in Honolulu for College and now reside in Corte Madera, Marin County, California.

I am mainly a self taught artist, although I have taken many art classes and workshops for over 30+ years. I also enjoy staging homes and anything design oriented.
