The iPad for Art Making and Art Marketing

Saturday, October 5; 1pm - 4pm

Instructor: Bill Russell

Learn how to access the power of your iPad to create digital art, integrate it into your art making process and publish your art on social media.

Join artist and illustrator Bill Russell for a fast-paced primer on using ProCreate and other digital drawing apps to make beautiful art for print and the web, and promote it effectively.

You will create your own digital sketches in class, so bring an iPad Pro with the ProCreate (or preferred drawing) app installed and an Apple Pencil. Class is limited to 12 participants.

Bill Russell graduated from Parsons School of Design, and began a 30+ year career as an illustrator, designer and painter. He was a staff artist at the San Francisco Chronicle and an Adjunct Professor of Illustration at the California College of the Arts. He works in a variety of styles and technologies using traditional and digital media. Bill’s recent collaboration with a guitarist called Wine Country Tales, made innovative use of the iPad in live performance and projecting his digital animations.

Bill’s fine art can be found on his websites: BillRussellFineArt.com and RussellReportage.com and on Instagram: @BillRussellDraws

Fee:  Members $75; non-members $90
