Creating Art on Your iPhone / iPad

An introduction to editing

Using everyday snapshots, you will learn to create extraordinary images. This class is for everyone who wants to create imagery anywhere you are. You will have an art studio in your pocket. You will learn the basics in this class and be able to create contemporary digital photographic composites.

Maximum number of students is 6 for hands-on help.

  • Color enhancement.
  • Textures.
  • Painterly effects.
  • Using text in your imagery.
  • Compositing.

What you will need to bring:

  • iPhone and/or iPad. Models 7 or later.
  • Charging cords.
  • Basic knowledge of iPhone camera and iTunes app store needed.

Patricia Leeds is a Bay Area artist who uses the iPhone/iPad and various apps to create compelling imagery. She has won many awards and her work has been published and exhibited nationally. She was awarded the Gold winner in photography from New York’s “Artforward”. “I have been a commercial photographer for over 30 years. 8 years ago, I began my journey with mobile photography. Today I mostly create photographic imagery with my iPhone and iPad. The freedom to create imagery without the bulk of equipment has been a transforming experience for me and I hope it will be for you”.

Where:  Marin Museum of Contemporary Art, 781 Hamilton Parkway (building behind Beso Café)

Registration fees: Members $100; Non-members $125 

No material fees, and under $10.00 in apps. I will be sending out an email after you sign up with a list of the apps we will be using so that you can install them before class.

Cancellation Policy: Fees are due at time of registration. You may cancel up to one (1) week prior to start of class/workshop and the fee, less $25 for processing, will be refunded to you. Should MarinMOCA cancel a class/workshop, you will receive a full refund.

Should you cancel less than one (1) week prior to a class or workshop begins, you will not receive a refund of any portion of your registration fee. There are no refunds for individual classes that are missed within a monthly series.
