Driven to Abstraction

Five Tuesdays, November 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; 1:30 - 4:30pm

We are following the California Dept. of Public Health and Marin County Health Dept. mask requirement until further notice.
Regardless of vaccination status, masks are required for visitors age 2 and up in our indoor public spaces or classroom.

Paint along with Bernard Healey to achieve your insight into the meaning of Abstract Expressionism. Learn a new way to use self-expression through the use of your art skills. Join in this journey using your own free expression, colors, and shapes which will take on a new meaning. 

Supplies: Please bring your own acrylic paints, (primaries: yellow, red, blue, plus black and white). Brushes and canvas (stretched or large pads of heavy duty W/C paper). Suitable bristle brushes for acrylics will be discussed as well as basic tube colors preferred for this complete painting course. Beginners and advanced welcome.

Please register before the start of the session. No drop in or makeup classes.

Bernard has been instructing classes and has been showing his art in Marin County galleries since 1960. He is a graduate of the California School of Fine Art and the Academy of Advertising Art in San Francisco.

Cancellation Policy: Fees are due at time of registration. You may cancel up to one (1) week prior to start of class/workshop and the fee, less $25 for processing, will be refunded to you. Should MarinMOCA cancel a class/workshop, you will receive a full refund.

Should you cancel less than one (1) week prior to a class or workshop begins, you will not receive a refund of any portion of your registration fee. There are no refunds for individual classes that are missed within a monthly series.
