Whether you are a serious artist or a person who just likes to doodle, a personal sketchbook can be many things. It can be a place to record your personal thoughts and artistic ideas, a medium to develop your style, or a way to learn about yourself and your world. You can use a sketchbook to experiment with different elements of design – like shape, line, or color – or with different media – drawing, painting or collage. Anything you want! It’s all about exploring and recording and expressing yourself and discovering who you are and your personal style.
In this 10-week afterschool course, students will learn basic drawing techniques, several mixed media techniques, stenciling, hand printing and simple book making.
