Eight Fridays, March 7, 14, 21, 28 and April 4, 11, 18, 25; 10 - 11am
Instructor: Gloria Matuszewski

This is an ongoing class. In this session we will learn and practice the Short Form as created by H H Lui. Space is limited due to the location so sign-up early. Warm-ups begin each class, and the tai chi principles will be emphasized.

Tai chi is an ancient form of exercise, first created in China, and designed to improve and rebuild one's body, mind and spirit. Basically a form of dance, tai chi is "meditation in motion". Increasingly embraced by the western world, the benefits of tai chi, particularly for seniors, has been well documented and supported by healthcare practitioners and the medical community. Practiced routinely, tai chi will improve your balance, strength and flexibility.

Wear loose, comfortable clothes and soft-soled shoes if possible.

Instructor: Gloria has practiced tai chi for 30 years and has taught tai chi for many years including MarinMOCA, the San Anselmo Recreation Center, Piedmont Adult School, and in the Oakland Adult Education Programs.
