I have always been a storyteller. When I was a teen, the stories were about my parents and the unhappiness they carried and spread. I became a filmmaker and screenwriter and a mom. I have been writing letters, lots of them, to my best friend for 50 years. Art making is another form of storytelling. My paintings/collages/monoprints are abstract so the meaning, if there is one, is open to interpretation. A fluid meandering line tells one story. A frantic jab of line tells another. I hope the end result is a cohesive world that the viewer wants to spend time in.
