Comprising three unique, week-long summer camps, our Summer of Art programs offer a diverse range of activities designed to cultivate artistic skills, develop creative thinking, and build lasting friendships. CARTOONING FOR KIDS: SKETCHES, COMIC STRIPS, ZINES and MORE! - FULL/WAITLIST
July 8-12, 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Ages: 9-12

Budding cartoonists and graphic novelists, this one's for you! Led by artist Jennifer Siegal, this students will learn the fundamentals of character creation and storytelling as they invent and craft their own unique cartoon characters. Working with graphite, colored pencils, and markers, participants will gain essential drawing skills while developing their sense of humor and comedic timing. "Show and Share" sessions provide a platform for collaboration and learning from each other as students hone their skills and create,hilarious three-frame comic strips and more.

 

EXPLORING MODERN ART 
July 22-26, 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Ages: 6-8

Unleash your child's inner artist in this vibrant and engaging camp! Designed for elementary students, the camp offers a fun and exciting introduction to the world of modern art. Through hands-on projects and lessons inspired by renowned artists, instructor Lauren Volk helps participants broaden their artistic horizons, acquire new techniques, and learn to express themselves visually. From Post-Impressionist vivid colors to Pop Art's playful portraits, each day brings a new artistic adventure, nurturing young talents and building confidence.
