Artist Statement


I paint for the solitude. I paint to make sense of the density and complexity of life. I paint because I believe in the power of beauty to create a moment of peace. I paint because I believe it is the best use of me.

I want only to create something beautiful. I want the experience of that beauty passing through me onto the canvas and changing me. I want the viewer to have a moment that parts time and suspends all disbelief. My painting has done its job if the viewer walks away knowing this truth: The eye that sees beauty is the greater beauty.

Inspired by Nature my work has only one message: Keep Blooming.
