This is a beginner’s class that will teach you about digital photography. In the class you will learn about digital cameras, basic camera settings, lenses and how to take photographs. There will be photography demonstrations using a large monitor so that everyone can see the photographs as they are taken, and the different camera settings used to produce the photographs.
Composition, lighting and different ideas on what makes a great photograph will be discussed.
Students are encouraged to submit one photo prior to class for the critique portion of the class, where helpful feedback will be given.
This is a great beginner class for anyone 14 years or older that is interested in photography, but has found it difficult to use a digital camera.
Instructor: Hines is a full-time artist, photographer, videographer, musician and writer. He is largely self-taught, and understands how difficult it is to learn a skill like photography. His classes are designs to be informative, but also fun and interactive.
Fee: Members $75 Non-members $85
