Mastering Acrylic Painting

Four Saturdays, February 1, 8, 15, 22; 12 - 3pm

Instructor: The Artist Hines

This class is designed to teach beginner or experienced students how to master painting in acrylics. Students will be given a wealth of information regarding acrylic supplies and materials for painting realism or abstraction. At each class Hines will assist students in the execution and completion of their painting, with instructions and demonstrations on color, paint application, color mixing, form and composition.

It is suggested that students bring a source image to work from or use one that is provided. They can also bring a painting that they are currently working on. This is a great opportunity for anyone wishing to learn how to paint with acrylics as well as oil painters wishing to transition from oils to acrylics.

Instructor: Hines is a self-taught artist who has 30 years of experience in painting. He specializes in acrylics and his multiple styles include abstraction, still life, figurative and surrealism. He has taught at Riley Street Art Supplies, San Quentin Prison, as well as private classes in the Bay Area.
